According to multiple media reports the next member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor will be former head coach John McKay. He won four national championships at USC. McKay was the first coach in Bucs franchise history and recorded a 44-88-1 record over nine seasons. In 2001 McKay passed away. McKay's son Rich, was the Buccaneers general manager during their 2002 Super Bowl Championship season.

A formal announcement is scheduled Wednesday afternoon, when the Bucs will reveal they plan to wear their throwback orange jerseys at a Dec. 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Falcons president Rich McKay and his family will obviously be in Tampa that day to accept the honor on behalf of coach McKay.

PewterReport.com's Take: John McKay is as good a choice as any to enter the Bucs Ring of Honor. He built Tampa Bay from the ground up and coached the Buccaneers to three playoff appearances. McKay is treasured by Bucs fans, and USC fans.
