On Wednesday the Bucs signed center Donovan Raiola. Raiola has spent most of the last four years on various practice squads around the NFL. Raiola is the younger brother of Dominic Raiola, a veteran center with the Detroit Lions. To make room for Donovan Raiola the team released center Jeff Tow-Arnett.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed center Donovan Raiola. He has spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Seattle Seahawks over the past four years. Raiola has been mostly on practice squads in that time. The 6-foot-2, 293-pound Raiola is expected to compete with center Jonathan Compas to backup starter Jeff Faine next season. Compas was also playing some guard for the Bucs during the offseason program.

Raiola is the younger brother of Dominic Raiola, a 10-year veteran with the Detroit Lions. Donovan Raiola played collegiately at Wisconsin, and was a three-year starter for the Badgers. He entered the NFL with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2006.

In order to make room for Raiola the team has released center Jeff Tow-Arnett. He signed with the Bucs in May after being at the Buccaneers' rookie min-camp on a try-out contract.
