One thing the Bucs are not looking forward to is owning the no. 1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
That is precisely what one reporter sees in the Bucs future though.
2011 NFL Draft Top 5
1) Tampa Bay - Lowest payroll in NFL, youth and inexperience give the Bucs the top spot.
2) St. Louis - When the Rams settle their ownership issue and acquire a lot more talent, they'll stop drafting here.
3) Buffalo - Building "Lines" and finding a QB doesn't happen fast these days.
4) Kansas City - This is K.C.'s last year in Top 10 of the draft for awhile.
5) Detroit - Same for the Lions as Schwartz and Co. restore the roar, if not the wins.

PewterReport.com's Take - On the surface, that may not seem like much of a stretch given that the Buccaneers had the third overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. However, the Bucs look to have had a strong draft class, quarterback Josh Freeman gained valuable experience starting nine games last season, and the defense improved immensely when Coach Morris took over the playcalling during the second half of the season. The team also has a favorable schedule and doubling their win total from last season is certainly in the cards for the Bucs. The team will probably be picking the lower half of the Top 10 in next April's draft, but with perennial losers like the Rams, Lions, and Browns hanging around, it is hard to imagine the Bucs being on the clock with the first overall pick in 2011.
