In a matter of months, wide receiver Mike Williams has gone from a fourth-round draft pick to being the No. 1 receiver on the Buccaneers. With his sudden ascension to the top of the depth chart, it is only natural that Williams is being compared to some of the bigger names in the NFL. When asked who Williams reminds him of, head coach Raheem Morris blurted out some impressive names.

"This is myself and the defensive backs' game that we play a lot in that room - on who guys remind you of around the league and you hear a bunch of different answers," said Morris. "I've gotten Roddy White in Atlanta. We see Roddy so much and all of the things that he is able to do. We have a healthy respect for what Roddy can do... and sort of Larry Fitzgerald because of the length."

In the first three preseason games Williams has enjoyed a lot of success. He has recorded seven catches for 157 yards (22.4 avg.), including a 53-yarder against the Jaguars. Despite the hot start, Morris wants it to be known that he is not calling Williams an All-Pro just yet.

"Not that he is either of these guys," Morris said. "I don't want to put this rookie that has never played a down in a National Football League game in any of these guy's categories, but just because of some of the things that they remind you of - the length that Fitzgerald is able to play with -- the ball skills, the hands, and how he tracks the ball. That kind of puts him in that Fitzgerald category."

However you spin it, being drawing comparisons to two Pro Bowl receivers is nothing but a good thing for the young wideout.
