With 24 carries for 128 yards, Tampa Bay rookie running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams saw his second straight game with a heavy workload and it paid off in another Buccaneers victory as Tampa Bay beat Buffalo 19-3 to move to 2-0 on the season. Williams also scored his second career touchdown in the win and earns this week's PewterReport.com Most Valuable Player.

In the first half, Williams rushed for 71 yards on 15 carries, including a 23-yarder up the middle thanks to a crushing block by fullback Mike Alstott. He added a 19-yard burst in the third quarter on Tampa Bay's touchdown drive that he punctuated with a 3-yard scoring plunge to give the Bucs a 16-3 lead with 5:09 left in the third quarter.

Williams fought off a second quarter foot injury to produce his second straight 100-yard rushing game, and his 276 yards rushing over his first two games is the best in NFL history for a running back. Last week against Minnesota, Williams rushed for 148 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries.

With a 31-yard blast in the fourth quarter against a worn down Buffalo defense, Williams has now produced five rushes for 19 yards or more over the last two games. Thanks to Williams' efforts, the Bucs are averaging 168.5 rushing yards per game in 2005. That's a far cry from last year when Tampa Bay averaged 93.1 and its rushing attack was ranked 29th in the league.
