Safety Cody Grimm has been nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week after he recorded four tackles, one interception, and a forced fumble against the New Orleans Saints. This is the third time a Bucs rookie has been nominated. Wide receiver Mike Williams has been nomimated twice, but did not win either time. If you want to make sure he wins, you can vote for Grimm at NFL.com/rookies. Voting will end Friday at noon.
Here are the other candidates:
WR Danario Alexander - St. Louis: Alexander had four catches for 72 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown reception in the Rams' 20-17 win over the San Diego Chargers.
LB Jermaine Cunningham - New England: Cunningham had six tackles, one sack and a forced one fumble in the Patriots' 23-20 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens.
RB Chris Ivory - New Orleans: Ivory rushed 15 times for 158 yards in the Saints' 31-6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
DT Ndamukong Suh - Detroit: Suh had three tackles, including 1.5 sacks in the Lions' 28-20 loss to the New York Giants.
