Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy has been nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week after he recorded one sack, three tackles, two quarterback pressures, and a pass defensed against the 49ers. This is the first time he has been nominated this season. If you want to make sure he wins, you can vote for McCoy at NFL.com/rookies. Voting will end Friday at noon.

Here is a look at the other finalists:

Ivory had 23 rushes for 99 yards and one touchdown in the Saints' 34-19 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

Marc Mariani, KR, Tennessee Titans - Mariani returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown and returned three kickoffs for an average of 27.3 yards in the Titans' 19-16 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Bryan McCann, PR, Dallas Cowboys - McCann returned a punt 97 yards for a touchdown and had one tackle in the Cowboys' 35-19 win over the Detroit Lions.

I agree but I think this might be the week we get one. Just from those stats none of those guys had eye opening performances except TJ Ward... but i would put McCoy right behind him. So we'll see...

No nobody has commented because I think were all sick of the Bucs having a rookie nominated every week and never win even once. The whole country knows Mike Williams is the best rookie receiver in the NFL and probably the biggest rookie playmaker period but he wont win Rookie of the Year cuz nobody will vote for him.

Interesting that no one has commented all day. I'll bet if he was nominated for Bust of the Week the so-called Bucs fans, who have already declared him as such after only a half season, would have piled on.
