The Bucs have drafted Senior Bowl participants in years past, including RB Cadillac Williams and LB Barrett Ruud. PewterReport.com has a list of the early commitments to the 2011 Senior Bowl right here.

The 2011 Under Armour Senior Bowl is just weeks away and several top 2011 NFL Draft prospects have already committed to participate in the top college all-star game. PewterReport.com will once again have a running tally for Bucs fans to peruse broken down by position as the players commit.

Greg McElroy – Alabama
Christian Ponder – Florida State

Noel Devine – West Virginia

Jerrel Jernigan – Troy
Austin Pettis – Boise State
Titus Young – Boise State

Preston Dial – Alabama

James Carpenter – Alabama
Rodney Hudson – Florida State

Ryan Kerrigan – Purdue

Bucs fans will undoubtedly be focusing on defensive ends that will be participating in the Under Armour Senior Bowl, as that will likely be the position of priority for Tampa Bay in 2011. Various lists of Senior Bowl invites have surfaced around the Internet and the following defensive ends – in addition to Kerrigan, who has already committed – have been invited to participate:

DE Adrian Clayborn – Iowa
DE Cameron Jordan – California
DE Pernell McPhee – Mississippi State
DE Jeremy Beal – Oklahoma
DE Allen Bailey – Miami (FL)
DE Cameron Hayward – Ohio State
DE Sam Acho – Texas

Keep in mind that these defensive ends have NOT committed to the Senior Bowl yet.

Check back frequently as PewterReport.com will have updates on the Under Armour Senior Bowl participation as the players commit to the all-star game. PewterReport.com's 2011 Senior Bowl Participants Tracker can be found by clicking here.

The Bucs need to take at least three of the guys mentioned and hope that one of them turns out to be good.

There is NO WAY..let me repeat...NO WAY that the Bucs take Jernigan. We are very deep at the receiver position right now with Williams, Benn, Briscoe,Parker,Spurlock,Stovall & Straughter. We will concentrate almost exclusively on defense with maybe an O-line pickup or two.

Jernigan = poor mans DeSean Jackson Im interested in seeing how Kerrigan, Clayborn and Beal (if they show up) play against elite college tackles

Jerrel Jernigan is a darkhorse Buccaneer pick. Tampa lacks team speed. Stroughter is a meh slot player, while Jernigan is dynamic. He can also line up in the backfield and be moved around like McCluster. Great screen player.
