As the Bucs placed wide receiver Arrelious Benn on injured reserve they elevated defensive tackle Doug Worthington to the active roster. Benn tore an ACL last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Worthington was signed to the Bucs practice squad on Nov. 3. He entered the league as a seventh-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 NFL Draft. In college Worthington played for Ohio State and made 103 tackles in 42 games. As a senior he totaled 42 tackles with five tackles for a loss and two sacks.

Again, another player plucked from a winning program. Pit always seems to find good D lineman, and the Bucs haven't been shy about signing them away, I believe he's the second D lineman we signed from them.

What undrafted college player doesn't want to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' developmental squad right now? (Practice squad) The next man up philosophy is going to create a line of over-looked players starting at One Buc and stretching all the way around to Bush Gardens. What the coaches, GM and scouts have done for this team in two years time is unbelievable.
