Bucs head coach Raheem Morris took time away from his NFL draft preparation to open up a new NFL Play 60 facility at the George Washington Carver Exceptional Center.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris took a break from his preparation for the 2011 NFL Draft and opened up a new Play 60 facility at Tampa Bay high school and middle school. On Thursday morning at George Washington Carver Exceptional Center, Morris and the Bucs had a court cover constructed to provide a shaded area along with athletic equipment for students to be able to exercise.

“I think it is important for us with exercise, heart disease, and all the things that you can help. We try to dedicate as much as we can. We do scholarships, we do opportunities, we do books, we do everything we can,” said Morris. “This is one of the things we focus on, a play 60 zone.”

Morris spoke to a school assembly about his background and discussed the importance of staying in school.

“As you guys know, in town education has been a focus for me. Military for Mark [Dominik],” said Morris. “So it is important for me to continue to develop our town. Right now in the offseason here, we are ready to deal and go out in the community and be able to touch it.”
