Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik revealed that Bucs long-snapper Andrew Economos tore his Achilles tendon. The Bucs are unsure of how the injury happened and the time table for Economos return. Tampa Bay's football staff is not allowed to speak to Economos while the players are locked out of the team facility. While answering a question on if the teams' draft plans change due to the arrest of cornerback Aqib Talib, Dominik revealed Economos injury.

"We got unfortunate news the other day that our long-snapper popped his Achilles tendon," said Dominik. "No how long is he going to be out? All that kind of stuff. You have to take the draft as it comes to you and take advantage of the player that you feel can best fit your football team short-term and long-term. That won't change regardless of a specific event or a specific person."

Other than Economos injury, Dominik said the Bucs believe all of their injured players from the 2010 season will be ready for training camp if training camp is held. That group includes defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (torn biceps), Talib (hip), defensive tackle Brian Price (pelvis), wide receiver Arrelious Benn (knee), and safety Cody Grimm (ankle).

"I think everybody else, and from what we are able to gather from talking to Todd Toriscelli, we are encouraged of all of the progress of our players that ended the season on injured reserve," said Dominik. "It is very positive for all of our players in that regard. As that day approaches when our players are back and they come to training camp and whatever, it'll be full go with all of them."
