I'm right there with you Scubog (I spelled it right this time). I'm warming up to McCoy too because I do believe he has a decent chance to become fair to good DT. Our house is for sale in Tallahassee (anybody want to buy a house a tee shot from Bobby Bowden, let me know) and when it sales we will be back in Pinellas County again. I have been retired for years and my wife just retired from the nursing field. We are ready to get back home. About the Bucs? The next two weeks will tell us if we will have a regularfootball year. When we get past the point where all the pre season games can't be played and the owners lose that extra profit; this could be a very long holdout. In my opinion, the longer the hold out the worse deal the players will get.

Horse: I suppose I could resort to name-calling like you did by calling me "Scumbog" since there are a lot of inappropriate words that can follow Horse. I was pointing out how OUR generation is remembered, not condoning the hippie movement or even mentioning Viet Nam. Please don't tell me there was no drug use by our men in Viet Nam, Cambodia and Thailand just like the hippies. While you were in Viet Nam, as you often proudly mention, I was in the USAF in Korea and certainly don't consider myself a coward. It's unfair that you choose to call anyone who wasn't in the jungles with you a coward. You fought for our country and the rights and freedoms that it represents, yet you don't think Talib deserves his day in court before you make judgment. The Viet Nam "Conflict" was over four decades ago, yet sadly it still haunts you like it does many men who endured it. Me, I salute you Horse and have a name for you, "Hero."

First of all Scubog, I never ment to call you that. It was a plain ansd simple mistake . I had to read the comment three times to figure out that I had added a letter to your name. I respect you too much to ever call you that. I apoligize. It was a typing error on my part. That's all. As to the drugs in Vietnam. There wasn't much where I was in Northern I Corp along the DMZ because we were just trying to stay a live every day. Yes, down way south in Saigon and in the big base camps like Da Nang there was some drugs. I was a LT. and everytime we caught anyone doing drugs we sent them south. It was tough enough each day trying to stay alive. The "incoming" was heavy at times and the tank trails were loaded with IED's. Scubog, I apologize again. You always respond with tact.

I still have a hard time convicting and punishing someone before they have had an opportunity for a trial. I thought we were past the witch hunt days. Horse, we are the same generation and I'm sure have some mutual acquaintances from your days as a Tornado; but as I recall, our generation was characterized as a bunch of hippies running around naked with flowers in our hair, smoking Jimmy's "herb". That wasn't me and probably not you. I do agree with layers being "scum." especially with this lockout. As soon as a lawyer is brought into play we can expect the situation to get worse, take longer to conclude and be more expensive. If they got paid a "lump sum" to reach a resolution instead of an hourly rate which encourages them to keep banging the cash register, maybe things would get done.

Scumbog, sorry I didn't get to have that opportunity to be a hippie. I hated those cowards because of Vietnam. When I returned from Vietnam most of those slugs were 2-3 years ahead of me in the job market. I got no breaks for going to Vietnam and serving my country when I got out. many Vietnam Vets never told anyone about their service for fear of not getting a job since we were classified by them as "baby Killer" and "war Loser's". Some of these so called hippies were my bosses and how do you think Ifelt about that until I could catch up and pass those cowards. Kind of the same attitude with many people still. Let someone else do the fighting or the defending of our rights and constitution. Yeah you are right about notdoing the witch hunt stuff, just don't put me in that arena. The guy showed up with a loaded gun in hand ready to use it. Maybe his Mom will take the fall and said she was the one who fired at the guy and maybe Talib will buy off some other witnesses; but it is still wrong.

Problem is I don't see Goodel letting Talib play in the NFL with a pending charge. The announcers and halftime shows will talk about his case more then his play on the field.

Horse, nobody posting called Goodell a scumbag, as you did Talib. I'm not siding with the kid,but maybe there are facts in the case we don't know about. What we do know is the guy he supposedly shot at was indeed a scumbag.

This could be good for the Bucs or bad for the Bucs. he could not get suspended until the case is resolved or he is suspended the entire year until the case is resolved. I hope he gets this worked out asap. I would rather have him suspended in the beginning of the year and not the end.

Talib and his attorney's are the scum, not Goodell. When are some of you is that do not understand what honesty, integrity, leadership is about? Oh yeah, I keep forgetting that some of you are the "WHy Generation", the Lost Generation" , the "What is Work Generation", the Entittlement Generation". Talbi, just man up; say you made a big mistake and apologize. Please do not pay off all the people who saw what they saw and can be bought off. So many of these younger people have no clue what any of this is about. They can obtain their courage via the internet. So said that many of our sports figures are all about the money and their ego's.

I really hope he plays this year. He is so good and we lose a very important part of our team if he goes to Jail. Some day Hopefully he will get his s_it together.

Talib's lawyer says there are additional facts that put Talib in a positive light. They aren't looking for a plea, but instead for the prosecutor to drop the charges. NFL.com had a piece about the players trying to negotiate verbage that prevents any action against players with behavior issues during the lockout. As a fan I'm just glad to have #25 back for most of, if not all of the season.

I still wouldn't put it past Roger to sideline him for 4 to 6 games

Hmmmmm..... had thought trial would have taken him out for the season... He will probably miss some games but would be surprised if Goodell took him out for the season.

Yea, this will be interesting to watch.

I read somewhere that Goodell may not have the authority to suspend Talib, Britt or anyone else that has gotten in trouble this offseason since everyone has been locked out. The NFLPA* can argue that if the players aren't getting paid why should they be subject to the conduct policy? If Goodell does whatever he wants anyway I don't see him suspending Talib for more than 4 games without anything to go on besides past incidences.
