The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signing of 16 undrafted free agents on Wednesday. The headliners of this group are 6-foot-2, 220-pound Arkansas-Pine Bluff wide receiver Raymond Webber, who caught 101 passes for 1,429 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and Syracuse middle linebacker Derrell Smith, who Bucs general manager Mark Dominik said he was considering drafting in the seventh round back in April.

Armando Allen ran for 514 yards on 107 carries with two touchdowns. He also caught 17 passes for 138 yards. His best season came as a junior when he ran for 697 yards and three scores. Allen was never the lead work-horse back for the Fighting Irish.

Madu was a backup to DeMarco Murray for the Sooners. Madu still ran for 978 yards and nine touchdowns on 219 carries last season. Oklahoma also used Madu as a kick returner. He brought back 11 kicks for 309 yards.

The middle linebacker Smith only played one season at Syracuse. He was 47th in the nation in tackles last year with 114. He also recorded one interception and three forced fumbles. Reveiz notched 108 tackles last season for the Volunteers. He had two interceptions and six tackles for a loss. The 2010 season was Reveiz's only season as a starter.   

Feld and Yount provide Tampa Bay with two long-snapping options in case Andrew Economos is not ready to play. Economos injured his Achilles this offseason and had to have surgery. According to his twitter page Economos was optimistic that he was going to be able to play. He could start on the PUP list in training camp. With Feld and Yount the Bucs have two competitors to groom as backups in case Economos needs more time.

The Bucs were high on Webber during the draft process. They hosted Webber before the draft and liked his skill set. Webber is a very physical receiver. He blocks defenders with violence and is very aggressive at winning jump balls in a similar manner to Bucs wide receiver Mike Williams.

The 6-foot-2, 218-pound Webber has the size and speed that the Bucs look for. As a senior, he caught 101 passes for 1,429 yards and 10 touchdowns. In his collegiate career, Webber totaled 180 catches for 2,376 yards and 16 touchdowns. It isn't surprising at all that the Bucs signed Webber.

Two other receivers were signed on to compete with Webber. Jock Sanders led West Virginia with 69 receptions last season. He had 728 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Sanders also has experience as a kick and punt returner. The Bucs were looking for a small speed receiver to fit into their receiving corps, and Sanders fills that void. Detron Lewis led the Red Raiders in receptions last season with 87. He totaled 852 yards and six touchdowns. In 2009 he had 65 receptions for 844 yards and six scores.
