On Wednesday afternoon, Glazer Family Foundation Co-President Darcie Glazer Kassewitz awarded grants to five nonprofit organizations in the Central Florida area. The following charities received grants: Children First, Inc.; Community Food and Outreach Center; Counceling, Mediation and Education Center, Inc.; The Florida Center for Child and Family Development; Women's Resouce Center of Tampa, Inc.
Representatives from these charities attended a formal grant presentation hosted by the Glazer Family Foundation at One Buc Place after the team's walk-through practice at Raymond James Stadium. The representatives first participated in a roundtable discussion about their charitable programs and then accepted their grant checks and commemorative plaques from the Foundation.
The Glazer Family Foundation awards grants every summer and winter to Central Florida programs that focus on the health, safety, recreation and education of disadvantaged children. In 2010, a total of 12 nonprofit organizations received grants through this program. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated more than $500,000 in grants to local charities.

Since it's launch in 1999, the Foundation has donated millions of dollars in grants, tickets and merchandise throughout the Tampa bay area. Most recently, the Foundation donated $5 million toward the construction of the Glazer Children's Museum, which opened on September 25, 2010 in downtown Tampa. The Glazer Family Foundation also assists charitable and educational programs in the Central Florida region and works with youth and families to create positive social and economic development within the community.
