During Monday morning's practice, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted their third annual Lace It Up For Kids shoe giveaway. This event helped 600 local at-risk students start off the school year on a high note.
The kids first watched the team's walk-through and enjoyed healthy snacks courtesy of the Bucs. Following practice, Tampa Bay players, cheerleaders, Captain Fear, and team staff brightened the day for these children by helping them try on and pick out a brand new pair of sneakers provided by the Buccaneers. Players were also on hand to give out autographs to the students while the students showed off their new shoes to the players.
In its third year, the Bucs' Lace It Up For Kids program provided more than 1,600 local children with a new pair of shoes to start off the school year. All participating children were preselected.
