The Buccaneers were back on the practice field this afternoon and Myron Lewis joined the team for the first time in over a week. Lewis, whose contributions last season helped the Buccaneers to a 4-1 record in games played without Aqib Talib, is being counted on to do the same this season in the event Talib misses games due to a possible suspension from the league. The former Vanderbilt star has been bothered by a hamstring injury.
Also practicing was Brian Price who is still recovering from a pelvic injury that required surgery and cost the second-year player the majority of his rookie season.
Absent from today’s practice was Ahmad Black [ankle sprain] and defensive tackle Roy Miller [knee]. Miller told PewterReport.com he is close to being able to go and expects to play in the Buccaneers’ final preseason game against he Washington Redskins.
