HALFTIME QUOTES BUCS VS. DOLPHINS GAME

HEAD COACH RAHEEM MORRIS
(On his overall impression of QB Josh Freeman)
“He’s doing well. We have got to find a way to start faster. Our guys got it going in the two-minute drive—they got a chance to get down the field and move the ball a little bit, so I’m feeling good about that.  We have to put some things together on offense as far as what we need to do and how we need to get started faster.”

(On the defense’s energy)
“Great energy after that first touchdown; I believe I love everything I see.  They got a couple penalties in there that we have got to clean up as far as the pass interference on a big time wide out.  But, other than that, I’m really excited about us hitting the quarterback, I’m really excited about us getting off the ball and playing aggressive.”

DT FRANK OKAM
(On disrupting the backfield)
“Just trying to do my job by taking in the double-teams at nose, trying to make plays for everyone else around you, just trying to help the defense as much as I can.”

(On things in the D-line clicking)
“We’re making a lot of good in the backfield.  Mike Bennett is having a heck of a first half, causing a lot of disruption and everyone is just kind of playing off him and they’re getting a lot of double-teams and focusing on Gerald McCoy now, because of what they did last week to Mike. Everyone else has to step up and make plays.”

DE MICHAEL BENNETT
(On how it felt to get pressure in the backfield)
“It feels pretty good to be out there with my teammates, just out there trying to make plays, and doing the best I can out there all the time.

(On the team working well together for the first time this preseason)
“It feels good to be out there; me, Gerald [McCoy] and Frank [Okam] and all the young guys.  It was good to be groovin’ together. We still have got a lot of energy that Coach [Raheem Morris] trying to get out of us and we’re going to be a good D-line. All these young guys playing together, it’s only a matter of time before we become one of those dominant defensive lines.”

WR ARRELIOUS BENN
(On being back on the field)
“It feels good just being out there with the guys—being in my place and doing anything I can to help the offense and get us to win games and all those little things to help the team.”

(On what the offense is doing well)
“We’re doing good with our tempo coming out of the huddle and getting where we need to get and running our plays and executing. We’re going to keep working to get right where we need to be to be ready for September 11.”

RB LeGARRETTE BLOUNT
(On contributing to the offense)
“A lot of teams don’t respect the fact that I can actually go out and catch a pass, so when I do, it opens up a lot of things for me and for our team.”

(On his reception and subsequent run)
“I was thinking touchdown. That’s the only thing on my mind: get a touchdown by any means necessary.”
