Pewter Report Radio returns to the airwaves today and each Wednesday on 1010 AM CBS Sports Radio. The Buccaneers talk begins at 5:30 p.m. as Pewter Report publisher Scott Reynolds, who is in his 16th year covering the team, joins afternoon host J.P. Peterson to break down last week's 16-13 victory over Atlanta that pushed the Bucs to a 2-1 record and atop the NFC South division, discuss the latest injuries and preview the upcoming Monday Night Football game against Indianapolis, which comes into town with a 0-3 record and without Peyton Manning.
That 30-minute segment leads into a full hour of Pewter Report Radio delivered by Marco's Pizza from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on 1010 AM featuring Reynolds and new Buccaneers beat writer Mark Cook hosting the show. Reynolds said that the content on the full hour of Pewter Report Radio in the 6:00 p.m. hour will be even more news-based with the latest scoop from One Buccaneer Place as well as fresh analysis on the previous week's Bucs game as well as a look ahead to the next one.
"I think what will make this show different is the fact that Mark and I are reporters, not sports talk show hosts," Reynolds said. "We are going to focus on relaying as much information and insight that we collected first-hand from the players, coaches and our sources at One Buc Place and do it in an entertaining way. For one hour a week we want to take the 1010 AM listeners into the Bucs locker room and have them learn all we did from the week thus far at One Buccaneer Place so they can be the most informed Bucs fans around. If you like the content on PewterReport.com, you will love the new Pewter Report Radio show."
Aside from detailing the team's injury reports, breaking down key match-ups and keys to victory there will also be some college football/NFL Draft discussion and a mention of a Pewter Prospect each week for Bucs fans to familiarize themselves with.
Reynolds brings 13 years of on-air experience to Pewter Report Radio and is excited to work with Cook, a veteran from Tampa Bay's first sports talk radio station 910 AM WFNS back in the 1990s.
