You are right about the ankle. When it happened to me it was a ball of mush for the rest of the game with no power to push whatsoever and when it stiffened up, I was out on crutches for well over a month, couldn't put a bit of pressure on it. Dr. said I would have been better off if it broke instead. I can't imagine weighing 300 lbs with one.

With the promotion of Johnson , there are now only six players on the Practice Squad. Presumably, Franklin will be added to bring the total to seven, but the Bucs worked out three tight ends last week.

I don't know what you guys are looking at. Riley IS listed on the PS at the Bucs site and there are seven total, leaving room for one more to be added to the PS, as well as one more to the active roster.. As far as conspiracy stories, I doubt it. Originally they announced releasing Franklin and bringing up Johnson. Later they announced putting Holland on IR. It looks like they may have screwed up, timing wise - if they had known Holland was going to IR, they might not have released Franklin in the first place.

Mark Cook, I'm being reduced to the level of conspiracy theorist with the latest moves at One Buc. Help me with my logic or what I've missed here. When Miami plucked Will Barker from the PS, they announced the addition of Chris Riley, Tackle, Illinois State, yet he is not listed on the PS. When Morris discussed the roster moves on his 10/10 presser which led to bringing up George Johnson and the release of Collin Franklin, he said that he hoped to get Franklin back - which I assumed him to mean that if/when he cleared waivers, he would go back to the PS. I assume this because with Holland going on IR, he didn't need to cut Franklin in order to bring Johnson up. After the Johnson move the Bucs website is listing 6 players on the PS when there are 8 spots and as you report, there is 1 unfilled active roster spot. Enter the conspiracy theory. The Bucs are planning to make a FA move or T-Jack's return is imminient. I don't think they bring up another PS member, ie, Ahmad Black or they would have done that when they brought up Johnson. The Bucs will get a 3 week roster exemption if/when Jackson returns, so I would think the FA move would be more likely. Your thoughts please!!

What you missed is they let Franklin (TE) go and put Holland (SS) on IR. That is two roser spots and they only filled one with Johnson (DE). They also have Johnson's spot on the practice squad to fill.

TE Collin Franklin was waived. S Devin Holland was put on IR. That left 2 spots on the active roster. Johnson only filled one of them. There is still one left.

Hopefully Ahmad Black, I wanna see what the kid has in him. He as a 5th round pick.

Anyone else see the headline and wonder if the Bucs let their secondary and linebackers go? If they let those 7 starters go, I'd be disappointed about Foster only ( he has potential). No one else would in any way be missed. Man, that is sad.
