Chudzinski! Take Cam Newton away and his offense doesn't go from worst to 7th. Without Steve Smith Cam Newton doesn't take them from worst to 7th. Give me someone who takes mediocre talent and makes them MUCH better.

Who are they gonna get for Man U thats the real question.

I hope they ask Chud what was his honest opinion of the Bucs v. Panthers in both games that weren't even competitive. He should honestly say, the Bucs stink and it was the easiest games they all year, then ask how he could change that

I am not excited by Zimmer getting an interview. I am even more worried the Glazzer's will jump on him to be our next HC because of the organization he comes from. The Bengals have almost been as cheap as the Glazzer's since 2004. They may simply grab Zimmer, prop him up next to Dom and not spend for a few more years as they continue to rake in well over 100 mil in profits for a few more seasons, then sell.

Well I'm excited about Zimmer being interview.

I like Marty, Zimmer, and Gray. In that order. I think Chud and Sherman no way. Chud is only on the board because of Newton. I would be happy to see Childress as our offensive coordinator, not HC.

Chud is intriguing but maybe Cam is just THAT good. It didn’t hurt that they already had a REALLY Good Running Game established from the previous regime. I think that Zimmer is the sort of Coach that this Team needs. The Next Best hires beyond him will be the Coordinators. Remember, we’re looking for a HEAD Coach… Not someone who has simply turned around an Offense with Above Average Talent. Of course, this is just an Opinion.

Zimmer is a very good choice and I hope he becomes our next HC. Having an experienced OC and DC would help in this transition. The Glazer's would save millions with this hire and the risk about the same versus picking Marty.

I would fine with Zimmer

I would agree that Marty's downfall in San Diego was more to do with A.J. Smith wanting the control and a power struggle ensued. Marty has a history of putting successful teams on the field and A.J. Smith hasn't done well drafting or keeping players in S.D. I would have to side with Marty when it comes to talent evaluation and knowing what players he needs to win. He apparently wanted to keep Brees but Smith didn't. It's a good example of HC and GM working against each other. It could be a problem in Tampa if Dominik doesn't want to give up any control, which is why I believe someone like Zimmer might be more attractive to Dominik. Zimmer might not demand as much control. Dominik has yet to prove he can be the last word on personnel decisions and might need a stronger voice like Marty. Either way, the head coach has to be someone who can work well with Dominik and vice versa. Maybe Zimmer is that guy. He's intriguing.

Objective evidence on Marty leaving San Diego and the subsequent progress and actions of the team leave me assuming that San Diego's manager is the problem, which leaves me feeling pretty good about a 14-2 coach. :)

Macabre. I hear what your saying but Spanos is a joke. He fires Marty and hires Nor and 4 years later they still don't have a SB. Spanos would have been better off firing the GM. Hopefully the Bucs will find a way to sign Marty.

Chudzinski is actually pretty exciting when you look at what he did in Cleveland and now Carolina as an offensive coordinator. Prior working experience with Kellen Winslow (He was his Tight Ends Coach).

On Jan. 5, 2012, Ira Kaufman reported that ”Schottenheimer was not atop the Bucs’ list”. I believe that the Glazers may be concerned about the chemistry between themselves, Mark Dominik, and the new coach. As I recall, Schottenheimer is a General Patton type that is not afraid to speak his mind. NFL teams rarely fire coaches with 14-2 records unless there is something wrong other than on-the-field performance. There has been 26 coaching changes since 2007, the year Schottenheimer was let go, and the Bucs is his first and only interview. On Jan 6, 2012, Rick Stroud reported that “The Bucs want a coach who can work with Dominik. I don’t think they want a guy who wants to run personnel. They will have to get along with Mark Dominik”. Then I ran across the link below and it might explain why the Bucs have not made a decision yet and why they will continue to interview.
