The Tampa Bay Buccaneers addressed depth at two key positions today when they announced that they have signed S Ron Girault and RB Robert Hughes.
Girault entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008 and also spent time with the N.Y. Jets. He was most recently with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League. Girault spent his collegiate career at Rutgers University as a four-year starter, appearing in 45 games and recording 271 tackles and 10 interceptions.
Hughes originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2011 and spent the final two weeks of the season on their practice squad. He played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame, rushing for 1,392 yards and 15 touchdowns in 47 games.
