I agree with Horse. I think this will go away from a standpoint of felony DUI. The other guy sees a Mercedes sports coupe and feigns injury, but refuses medical attention. The cops were probably angry about Wright refusing a breathalizer test and over charged Wright. The commish will penalize Wright and I think the Bucs will too. The guy is showing a terrible attitude so far and bears little resemblance to a "Buccaneer Man". 37 Million for this!!!!

I have made it known that I was not a fan of this signing and this only cements the reasons why. I never knew about any of the issues at USC whether wrong or right. From a pure football standpoint this guy was a bad fit. He gets burned more than any CB ive ever seen live. I encourage everyone to look at the stats from his days in Cleveland where he was beaten from the word hike. I think he is nothing more than an overpaid nickel back. I PRAY they put some language in his contract that can get him released for off field instances because its obvious hes not even focused on getting ready for football. Not sure what Dennis Hickey's job is but I do know Dominik just gave him a promotion. Dickey is in charge of the draft in some compacity and would think this includes evaluating free agents. This is not going so great for GM Dominik. Once again the scouting staff did not do enough back ground check on this guy. If I am the Glazers after committing to 37 million I would be giving Dominik that this is his last warning that he better make sure that when he signs anyone they have to pass the Buccaneer Way check off. Butch Davis, be prepared to take over the GM spot soon.

As with all DUI charges involving an accident; it could have been worse. Being a non-drinker, I have little understanding as to why a highly paid and vulnerable player gets behind the wheel even after a few beers. Then again, I see countless people driving while talking on the phone and texting. The police should look into developing a textilizer after these on line chats cause an accident. I did a spoof college paper on the benefits of driving while on the phone titled. "Stop Honking You Idiot Can't You See I'm on the Phone." I suppose we could do one in this case titled, "Get out of the Way you Idiot, Can't You See I'm Drunk"

No matter the outcome, he knew what he did was wrong and Coach should show that any negative attention brought to the TEAM, by any individuals, should suspend him for a game or a couple if the offense is bad enough. MC I know you have to choose your words carefully because you're going to have to try and get interviews from these players but it's not just "not very good"...it's been a horrible start. As always I'll reserve full judgment until the legal system takes its course but this guy better be a damn good CB during preseason and the regular season. If he doesn't work out that'll be a big failure for Dominik. Dominik wanted to sign Wright last year but couldn't get him here either because the Glazers would let him spend the money or Morris advised against it. Now neither is a factor so this decision will be all on Dominik. Like Grafikdetail said many people thought Dominik overpaid for this guy big time in the first place.

This isn't on the level of Talib punching the cabbie, but Schiano needs to send a message nonetheless. Suspend him for the season opener regardless of the legal outcome.

I'm not going to jump this time so quickly. It appears to me to be a minor accident. I have no idea what was written in his contract about behavior, but he could owe the Bucs back some of that guaranteed money. Uhm, maybe what I said prior about reaching for Martin when we still had other needs might be lessons learned form situations like this. Just my thoughts.

Never pickup a Detroit Lion Free Agent! How many guys from that team have been popped for some type of self-medicating and driving this summer from that team. Maybe we can say he still is still technically a Lion until training camp starts so we can avoid any NFL team fines if we have any others players get pulled over in the coming weeks until camp. Agree Sclobernocker. People will drink and enjoy their millions. Yet wont protect their contract and image by shelling out a few bucks for a cab or driver? Strange. If there is any silver lining, there was no medical treatment needed on injured driver and no BAC level in the police report so will be tough to get much on this one in terms of a conviction.
