Report: CB Wright Will Not Face Charges

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Buccaneers cornerback Eric Wright will not face any charges following his July 1 arrest for suspicion of DUI.

“On July 1, my client Eric Wright was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles and was arrested for suspicion of DUI,” lawyer Jeremy I. Lessem said in a statement released Friday by the team. “Today, I am pleased to announce that the Los Angeles County District Attorney has reviewed the facts and decided not to file any charges.  Therefore, no charges at all will be filed against Eric.  Eric is glad this is behind him and is eager to begin training camp at the end of the month.”

    LA cops....what are you gonna do? I guess the arresting officers were on a high due to the death of Rodney King. A lot of people on this board were ready to cast Wright to the wind. Thankfully cooler heads prevailed at 1 BUC !!!!!

    I'm VERY RELIEVED, I too can now go on vacation knowing our secondary is intact. I'd like to get an update on Bower's though I'm sure it is a little early....

    Hopefully this was a good scare to him to not risk millions of dollars in potential income in the future with similar mistakes.
