Underwood got cut because of his need of individual attention-which is evident with the whole hair deal..coach is trying to create a team first atmosphere. develop in the system and EARN attention,dont just expect it cuz you have a hightop fade...team guys will win out for a while as we rebuild..In time we will develop our new characters to cheer for..i don't agree but I understand..

Looking for Buc's cuts!?? Thought Underwood did enough at WR to make team. I guess production is not the only determination. Due believe the Bucs will pick up former Rutgers Tackle Anthony Davis. He was just released and he fills a need with D. Joesph getting hurt and put on IR. The kid is a 3 year veteran at Tackle and he has 32 starts! 6-5 323 and only 22 years old. Look for Bucs to sign him rather quickly!

I dont profess to being an expert on building a 53 man professional football roster. It is going on 10 pm and I can go on several web sites and see how the vast majority of other NFL teams abiding by a 9pm deadline have constructed their teams. All day I followed local reports that proved incorrect and misleading. Player were cut then were not cut leaving the appearance that no knows what's going on with our Bucs. It's no wander that we can't sellout our 1st home game.it doesn't appear our coaches, administration, or media has any control over this Chinese fire drill that we have in the Tampa market.

Underwood was definitely one of top 5 WR's on the team. You just know the Dolphins or even Belichik is going to pick him up. Between cutting Underwood and Price Dominik is going to start making it just as hard for Schiano to win games as it was for Morris if injuries start to mount up like last year.

Buc4life; he is too light and can be man handled at the line. He had a small CB take a pass away from him. He needs to add some more weight and get stronger. We might see him back later in the season if we lose one of the other WR's.

People! It's about bringing quality back to this team. We have maybe 14-15 players who would be starting on other teams. We are rebuilding and one free agency and one draft will not get us there. We need another free agency and another draft to even get us to the 6-8 wins group. I am not being negative. Look at the good things that we do have already in place? We have a decent RDE; we will have Bowers back next season as the LDE; we have 2 decent LB's in Foster and David; we have two good Safeties; we have a good LOG and ROG when Joseph returns; we have a decent LOT and Center; we have two good RB's. We are better than Miami, Jacksonville, Clevland, Minnesoto, and perhaps a couple more teams; it's just that we do have a tough schedule and are not playing most of the above teams. Just because we might win 3-5 games doesn't mean we are loser's; it means what Coach said that we are a work in progress. Go Bucs!

If we go 8-8 it will be a good year. The Bucs made some good acquisitions this year, but I won't be surprised if it is another year of unachieved promise! Orlovsky seemed more consistent than #5. I'm starting to think Josh may not be the answer, along with the Williams and Benn. The offensive line again lacks the ability to create running lanes. Not sure if it's the scheme, coaching or players, but this team still has a long way to go. I almost forgot the play calling was bland and predictable. Running the ball every other play only works if you have a dominant running game which we clearly don't. Are two backs are good backs but definitely don't seem to create fear in anyone with the average numbers they have so far. This may be a bit premature, but I haven't seen much to be excited about this year. Underwood was one of the few bright spots and the brainiacs in management got rid of him....lol...good luck selling those 9,000 tickets

Seriously? Underwood??? The only guy besides Vincent Jackson that consistently gets corner separation? Parker has had nothing but incompletions in the pre-season games! What about all that talk of needing speed and a deep threat? Stupidest move you can make Schiano!!! Parker is inconsistent and lets face it, Williams and Benn have not been spectacular! These guys could not get open at all last year and finally you get a receiver who does get open and catches the balls thrown to him and you cut him? Am I missing something here? grafikdetail; I don't want to get rid of Blount. There's a lot of heavy movement by the Bucs and the only realistic player that we could get something for in a trade is Blount. I do hope he stays, but I don't think it will happen.

Most veterans of the nfl scene no that the first round of cuts are mostly body bags cuts; this is the interesting cuts when teams are forced to cut good players. Teams seasons are made or lost right here. Good coaches should see this. Bad teams that can't turn their rosters upside down right now . . . suck. By the fact that we're not exactly hearing much suggest quite a lot; i expect to not hear about our cuts till after six p.m on the west coast! It's looking like this is going to be a hugh roster movement day! Considering Grimm, Tandy, and Baker are all gone; that doesn't make sense. Cutting Okoye makes sense because he never got over his injuries; but, E.J. Wilson also? This all suggests the Bucs front office are making major moves;

Last I heard Tandy is still here. Baker is gone along with EJ Wilson.

Losing Price is a bigger deal now. He played hurt and with heart all last year when other guys would have gone on IR with his injuries. DT is VERY thin. Tandy - if he is cut - is practice squad guy - but he wont clear waivers - had a productive preseason. Same with Goode the MLB and his roommate from WVU. Sorry to see Madu go. Thought they might keep 4 RB's.

He is a good RB, but not for this scheme and also a weak ROL where he does most of his running. It also wouldn't surprise me if one of these players is traded: Clark, Stocker, Parker, Stroughter.

Schiano coached against Tandy in college for 4 years, coached him for an entire offseason and if he decided after watching him that closely that he isnt a fit then thats it. I think its funny that we argue about a player that you MAY have seen play 20 or so real snaps. Tackles that he racked up against 3rd and 4th stringers mean nothing if he hasnt proven it in camp. As for Okoye if we brought him in as insurance for a player that is always injured and he himself is injured then what is his real value. Theres no need arguing about players that will rarely see the field in real action. Go Bucs!

well, I have an int from Tandy in Madden preseason game 2! I also seem to be able to kick a lot of *censored* with Madu! On the other hand, through two preseason games and limited time, Mike Smith has ran circles around the D; scoring two fifty plus yard td runs without being touched(all pro mode). I've already relegated computer Doug Martin to third down back! If Blount gets tired, I just play Mike Smith!

I don't understand the Okoye move at all. As if McCoy hasn't already had close calls this pre-season with injury and we're just going to make the position thinner? Only if they sign a free agent they've been keeping an eye on does this make sense. He's going straight back to the bears having been rehabbing a knee issue that the Bucs knew about before they dealt for him. It's basically as if we gave Price to the Bears and paid 700k in guaranteed money to do it. Say what you want about Buccaneer men but this sounds to me like Dominik and the coaching staff were not on the same page when they made the trade to begin with.

If these type of players (Tandy) are being cut, it could mean that they have their eye on another player on another team that they think will be cut that they can pick up. That is at least one possible explanation. But whatever the reason, I will put my money behind Schiano. He is the main with the plan.

It looks like the Amobi Okoye experiment failed miserably, but I will say this for some of the moves. If Schiano is keeping players that are healthy and play hard over some of the bigger names that are usually hurt then im all for it. Dont like the fact that he released Tandy but if u remember back when we drafted Tandy, nobody spoke higher off him than Schiano. Surprised that one game against scrubs could elevate a player, Baker, over those cut above. Maybe one day I'll understand why the NFL insists you can only be "eligible" for a team's practice squad for a limited time period. Why? Things are going to be VERY interesting today!!!

Wow @Tandy being released, I definitely hope he clears waivers and joins the practice squad. That kills our depth at safety. They must have some serious plans to pick up guys off the waiver wire or have some serious trade in the works.
