The Bucs trimmed their roster to under 53 players Friday and among the most notable moves, WRs Tiquan Underwood and Jordan Shipley, TE Zack Pianalto, and 2012 seventh round draft pick Drake Dunsmore. 

The 2012 Tampa Bay Buccaneer 53-man roster is set and after a whirlwind of unconfirmed reports circulated throughout the day. Two of the players in the thick of the unconfirmed reports, safety Cody Grimm and sixth round draft pick Keith Tandy are now confirmed to have made the final roster.

The Bucs released DTs Frank Okam and Amobi Okoye with Okoye leaving Tampa Bay with an injury settlement. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Okoye is close to signing with the Bears once again, hours after being released from the Bucs.

The list of players waived by the Buccaneers are:

G Desmond Wynn (injured)

As the news breaks and the full lists are available for all 32 teams, more cuts could be impending for the Buccaneers while former Bucs will have new teams. Players that clear waivers will be able to be signed to practice squads beginning at noon Saturday.

    I wish Tampa had kept both Shpley & Underwood.But I can't wait to see who they pluck from other teams-GO BUCS

    Hey PR..I'm shocked by the cuts of Asante, Shipley, and underwood but must trust what the coach wants since we're gonna be a run team first abyway..he was right about cutting Tanard and now look he's gone for another year for substance abuse..any word on us going after OG Deuce letu since ge was cut i I remember you guys saying the bucs should go after him before..also have you heard any rumors of us taking a shot on Chrus Cooley as well..think that would be a nice combo with Dallas Clark since sticker can't stay healthy.

    Preseason means little as these cuts show.....I'm surprised by the Okam release but must be a reason as this was an early one. As to Tiquan.....not the first team to cut him....obviously he has talent but must be something we as fans don't see. And most of what info we do get is hype from camp. Camp is used by coaches to look at people they DON'T know....so those folks get the most exposure and are most visible. Doesn't mean they are going to make the team. Going to be an interesting year, I do hope the first team can stay healthy. We have potential, just need to make plays like we did in 2010. If we do that and keep the defense off the feild and fresh we can play with anyone. GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Here we are talking about needing WR & DLine help but the Bucs thought they were good enough at those positions to cut their leader in TD catches (Briscoe) & a playmaker at DT (Price). Go figure? Daniel Muir may be a nice pick up.

    Bucballer - I think your thinking the wrong Anthony Davis, the guy your thinking plays for the 49Ers and was picked 11th overall out of rutgers. The Anthony Davis that was cut was the former Bucs Anthony Davis who played for San Diego.

    Philly had depth at D-Line so their cuts my be worth looking at for our line. Maybe Monte Taylor DE

    I see the bucs trying to pick up offensive linemen and Defensive linemen. They are thin at depth on both sides of the line.

    kept Grimm and cut Underwood ??? Surprised. well , now lets get some offensive line players signed to cover for Davin.

    Surprised, but not really?! There are many variables that fiqure into the making of an NFL player. I don't pretend to know what they are. Sometimes, it's more than just the results that we fans see in the game. Worried about OL and DL! I think we may be active in the search for any talent out there that surpasses what we have. I think we start with G Anthony Davis. He was just cut. He is an animal. 6-5 323 with 32 starts. He's 22 years old and he played college ball at Rutgers! I think this kid could hold down the fort until Davin J. comes back from IR. Kid started in NFL as a 20 year old!!! This kid is a grown man dog!

    Wow Tiquan and Shipley ousted before Sammie and Preston I bet they bring in someone else at wr tomorrow
