Here is what you need to know about what happened at Buccaneers practice on Monday, September 3:

BUCS INJURIES
• Tampa Bay’s third-year wide receiver Arrelious Benn was practicing without any visible limitations on Monday. Benn missed all of the preseason with an MCL sprain, and is expected to be a game-time decision on Sunday when the Bucs host the Carolina Panthers in the 2012 regular season opener.

• Bucs cornerback E.J. Biggers was still sidelined on Monday as he recovers from a broken foot. Biggers is expected to miss at least the first week of the 2012 regular season.

• Bucs defensive end Da’Quan Bowers (Achilles) is on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.

TAMPA BAY’S ROSTER MOVES
• The Buccaneers waived guard Julian Vandervelde and re-signed defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry. Gilberry was released on Saturday to make room for Vandervelde on the roster, but the team decided to flip the switch the other way on Monday.

• The team also announced its practice squad, which included offensive tackle Bradley Sowell, linebackers Jacob Cutrera and J.K. Shaffer, tight end Drake Dunsmore, wide receivers Dale Moss and Bert Reed, defensive end Markus White and quarterback Adam Weber.

BUCS DEPTH CHART NEWS
• Ted Larsen was starting at right guard in place of the injured Davin Joseph, who is out for the year with a knee injury, and the Buccaneers will continue to take a look at rotating Demar Dotson and Jeremy Trueblood at right tackle.

THE BIG NEWS AT ONE BUC PLACE
• The release of Kellen Winslow by the Seattle Seahawks prior to the start of the season negated a conditional trade by the Bucs, which would have sent Tampa Bay at least a seventh-round pick for the surly tight end. Winslow is now a free agent, but don’t expect him back in Tampa Bay because of his attitude.

• The Bucs will still receive a 2013 seventh-round draft choice from Chicago from the trade of defensive tackle Brian Price even though he was released on Tuesday due to the fact that the trade wasn’t conditional on him making the roster. Price was released by Chicago in order to make room for defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, who was re-signed by the Bears after spending the 2012 offseason and training camp with Tampa Bay – mostly rehabbing a knee injury. The Bucs now have eight draft picks in 2013 – all seven of their own and the Bears’ seventh-rounder.

• There has been no official announcement or comment from the team, but don’t be surprised if there has been little movement in the sale of individual game tickets for Sunday’s 2012 regular season opener between Tampa Bay and Carolina, which is slated to start at 4:15 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium. The team announced that 9,000 tickets remained on Saturday – and that was with the team incorporating the 85 percent rule in terms of lifting the blackout.

Team officials have previously stated that a walk-up crowd during the week of 5,000 tickets sold is generally uncommon, so unless a local business or the team steps up by Thursday, the 2012 season opener will likely be blacked out locally.
