Tampa Bay announced Wednesday afternoon that they were awarded CB Danny Gorrer off waivers from Seattle.
The third-year corner has played in 14 NFL games with one start and was signed by New Orleans as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M. Gorrer spent the first
eight weeks of 2009 with the Saints, before being signed by St. Louis where he played in three games, with one start.
Gorrer spent the last two seasons with Baltimore and saw time in 11 games, recording three tackles and four passes defensed.
The Buccaneers also announced G Chris Scott has been signed to the team's practice squad.
With Carl Nicks placed on injured reserve, the Bucs were thin at the position and called up guard Roger Allen from the practice squad Tuesday. Scott was selected in the fifth round of the 2010 draft by the Pittsburgh as an offensive tackle and played in two games last season before being cut from the Steelers in October 2011 and signed to their practice squad. The former Tennessee Volunteer was with Pittsburgh through the 2012 preseason and after being waived at final roster cuts, Scott signed to the Packers’ practice squad
