Bucs Announce 2005 Preseason Schedule

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2005 preseason opponents have been announced by the NFL. The exact times and dates will be announced at a later date, in addition to the regular season schedule.
Although the complete Buccaneers schedule is still at least a week or two away from being released by the NFL, the league announced Tampa Bay's four preseason opponents for 2005 on Wednesday.

The Bucs will face Jacksonville and Houston at home and Tennessee and Miami on the road in the preseason. The exact time and dates will be announced later.

Tampa Bay travels to Tennessee to play the Titans during the week of August 11-15. The Bucs lead the series 5-1.

The next week (August 18-22), Tampa Bay will host Jacksonville. This game will mark the fourth straight preseason that the two teams will meet in August. The Bucs lead the series 2-1 with victories coming in 2002 and 2003.

The Bucs will travel to Miami to play in the third week of the preseason (August 25-29). The Dolphins hold a 12-7 lead in the preseason series, but Tampa Bay has been victorious in the last three preseasons (2002-2004).

Tampa Bay will host Houston in the preseason finale, which will be played during the week of September 1-2. The Bucs have won all three preseason meetings against the Texans (2002-04).

2005 Bucs Preseason Schedule

Week 1 (August 11-15) at Tennessee
Week 2 (August 18-22) vs. Jacksonville
Week 3 (August 25-29) at Miami
Week 4 (September 1-2) vs. Houston
