From the Buccaneers public relations department:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have signed DT Matthew Masifilo to their 53-man roster.

Masifilo joins the Buccaneers from the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. He originally entered the league with the 49ers as an undrafted rookie out of Stanford in 2012, and has spent the 2012 season on San Francisco's practice squad. With the 49ers in the preseason, he recorded seven tackles and a forced fumble.

A four-year letterman at Stanford, Masifilo started the final 26 games of his career, earning honorable mention All-Pac-10 following his junior year.

The team also announced they have waived DE Markus White.

I think the Bucs have hit on something. They need more depth at DT so they can be fresher in the fourth quarter just in case Schiano is crazy enough to try another run with seven yards to go in order to trust his defense to win a game for him when he has already worn out his defensive front by not having fresh reserves and has the worst defensive backfield in the entire NFL.. He needs to go study the success of the Florida Gators in how they have been able to dominate top teams in the fourth quarter. He keeps talking about his team needing to get better each week. Well, that starts with him. He is a rookie NFL coach and he needs to be getting a lot smarter! He also needs to be calling out Barron. He has the talent and the training at least from Alabama to be playing like our LB sensation, Lavonte David. Instead he has fallen to duplicating the play of free agent rookie DBs. He has no excuse and he must be held accountable!

I don't know Masifilo, but Dominik has been pretty good at raiding practice squads late in the season, so he may be OK. I think White has now broken Gilberry's on-again off-again record!
