With the reported hiring of Tony Oden as defensive backs coach on Wednesday, it appeared the Buccaneers were nearly set with their 2013 coaching staff.
But according to published reports there will be another vacancy to fill, as special teams coach Bob Ligashesky has been fired.
The Buccaneers led the NFL in blocked punts (3) in 2012 but the kickoff and punt return teams struggled finishing 30th in kickoff return and 19th in punt returns.
The Buccaneers failed to comment on the report when contacted.
With the reported firing of Ligashesky, and the hiring of Oden, head coach Greg Schiano now has two coaching position to fill, a receivers coach to replace P.J. Fleck, who took the head coaching job at Western Michigan in December and Ligashesky's replacement.
Ligashesky is the fourth member of Schiano’s 2012 coaching staff to be replaced joining DBs coach Ron Cooper, QB coach Ron Turner, and Fleck.
