Despite high expectations and excitement by many Bucs fans for the 2013 season, the enthusiasm didn’t result in a sellout for the team’s first preseason game. The Bucs host the Ravens Thursday night at Raymond James Stadium.
The Buccaneers announced on Thursday evening that not enough tickets were sold to prevent the league-mandated blackout policy, which calls for the tickets to be sold 72 hours prior to kickoff.
The game will be shown on tape-delay at 7:30 p.m. Friday on WFLA Channel 8, which announced a partnership to be the home for the Buccaneers preseason game earlier this year.
Over the past three seasons 19 of 23 regular-season games at Raymond James Stadium were blacked out.
