Bucs MLB Mason Foster has had two great games to start the 2013 season. After an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown and eight tackles in the loss to the Saints, Foster is the Tru Beautè Med Spa Buccaneers MVP in Week 2. The Tru Beautè Med Spa Buccaneers MVP is selected each week by the PewterReport.com staff.

In Tampa Bay’s 16-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Tru Beaute` Med Spa Bucs MVP is middle linebacker Mason Foster. Tampa Bay’s third-round pick in 2011 recorded the third interception of his NFL career in the fourth quarter and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown to give the Bucs a 14-13 lead. The touchdown was Foster’s first in the league.

Foster also made a tremendous tackle of New Orleans running back Mark Ingram on the goal line to produce a goal line stand on fourth-and-goal from the Tampa Bay 1-yard line just prior to halftime. That tackle prevented the Saints from producing any points, and kept the score 10-7 at the end of the first half.

Foster is off to a blistering start to the 2013 NFL season. In two games he has produced 15 tackles, which ranks third on the team, and a tackle for loss. He also has two sacks, which ranks second behind Lavonte David’s 2.5, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

To put those numbers in perspective, especially the splash plays, Foster only recorded two sacks, one interception, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery in 16 games last season. The Washington product has similar numbers through the first two contests of 2013 with 14 games remaining on the schedule.

For his efforts, Foster will receive a certificate for a complimentary one-hour massage at Tru Beaute` Med Spa in Tampa.

My bad. I misunderstood. The offer still stands.

Foster is probably wondering how he could upgrade his spa package to one of those "full service" salons on Kennedy Blvd. :)

WOW!!! SR had something positive about the buc's

Foster was one of many Bucs that had a great game last Sunday so I'm not going split hairs over who deserves the MVP. Foster had an outstanding game and deserves the recognition. I just hope he can keep it up all year this year!

Seems like a cool promotion - Why some are always so critical? That seems very creative, Scott, and i bet it's pretty effective for Tru Beaute`Med Spa. Hey seat26, instead of being a smart alec why don't you break out your checkbook and give Scott and call. I'm sure PR can create a cool promotion for your restaurant too.... if you've got the stones.

seat26 - I guess you missed the first sentence of the story, which says: "Tru Beaute` Med Spa sponsors the Buccaneers game MVP, as selected by the PewterReport.com staff." We choose the MVP. Tru Beaute`Med Spa just sponsors it. And Vincent Jackson was very appreciative of his complimentary massage last week.

Be careful seat26, those big guys can eat. Asian spare ribs sounds good.

Classy. Now pewterreport allows advertisers to choose mvp's on their site, and helps them promote the business with a give away for the player. Hmmm. Well I own a restaurant in Sarasota, and I choose the offensive line as mvp, after opening holes big enough for Martin to have a big day, and for keeping freeman upright most of the day. And I am offering the entire OL a free Asian spare rib dinner at my restaurant curry creek cafe in Nokomis. Come and get it.

Love to see Mason and David fighting together so hard. It's been wonderful to watch.
