The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today promoted wide receiver Chris Owusu to the 53-man roster from the team's practice squad.

Owusu (6-2, 200), a second-year player, joins the Buccaneers active roster after having spent the first four weeks of the season on the team's practice squad. Owusu joined Tampa Bay last year, after being signed from the San Diego Chargers' practice squad. A native of Westlake Village, Calif., Owusu played collegiately at Stanford University. He will wear No. 80.

The team also announced the release of wide receiver Kevin Ogletree and the waiving of safety Ahmad Black. Additionally, tight end Nate Byham has been placed on Injured Reserve and wide receiver Dan Buckner has been released from the practice squad.

pinkstob/EastEnd, Byham was our last blocking TE. And it seems like Stocker has told Crabtree to stay in the tub where it's safe. lol. They may have to move Lorig to TE and let Larsen play FB. Alternatives don't look good, either way. Looks like wing and a prayer time!

When did Byham get hurt? When it rains it pours. So we have Crabtree and Wright as our only TE's? Will we be re-signing Noble?
