The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have claimed safety Bradley McDougald off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs and placed running back Jeff Demps on the Injured Reserve list.

McDougald (6-1, 209), entered the league as a college free agent with the Chiefs and played one game with the team this season. A native of Dublin, Ohio, McDougald played collegiately at Kansas, starting 33-of-47 games and recorded 194 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, six interceptions, three forced fumbles and 2.0 sacks. He also saw time on offense, finishing his college career with 52 catches for 558 yards and a touchdown.

Demps played in two games with the Buccaneers this season, recording 128 all-purpose yards.

Galloway was a speed Demon. Appears one of the downsides of having that ability is groin problems. Galloway suffered with it in the latter part of his career. Still have his autograph on a practice T-shirt. I, too, would like to see Demps return. Go Bucs!!

This team has lacked speed at the skill positions since Galloway was healthy. I'd welcome back Demps next year and give him another shot.
