There were plenty of star players in Tampa Bay's 41-28 win over Atlanta on Sunday, but two of the biggest were Bucs DT Gerald McCoy and RB Bobby Rainey. McCoy notched a career-high three sacks and Rainey rushed for 163 yards and totaled three TDs to become the Tru Beautè Med Spa Buccaneers MVP. The Tru Beautè Med Spa Buccaneers MVP is selected each week by the PewterReport.com staff.

In Tampa Bay’s 41-28 win over Atlanta, there is a tie for the Tru Beaute` Med Spa Bucs MVP with both defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and running back Bobby Rainey claiming the honors.

Rainey, a second-year player and a newcomer to Tampa Bay, exploded for 163 yards and three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) against the Falcons. That marks the highest rushing total for a Buccaneer this year, and Rainey became the first Tampa Bay player to rush for two scores and have a touchdown reception in the same game. He also caught two passes for 15 yards against Atlanta, and has 208 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 38 carries (5.5 avg.) as a Buccaneer.

McCoy set the tone on defense with three first half sacks, which was a career-high accomplishment for a single game. He was dominant and finished with five tackles, three sacks, three tackles for loss and a pass break up. McCoy joined Warren Sapp and Brad Culpepper as the only defensive tackles in team history to post three sacks in a game. He has six sacks to lead the Buccaneers, and his six sacks on the season represents a career high.

For their efforts, McCoy and Rainey will receive a certificate for a complimentary one-hour massage at Tru Beautè Med Spa in Tampa.
