The NFL released the full schedule for all 32 teams on Wednesday and Tampa Bay will open to the season on September 7 at home against Carolina. The Bucs will also travel to Atlanta in a nationally-televised game on CBS in Week 3. The Bucs close out the regular season with two straight home games against Green Bay and New Orleans.
The Lovie Smith era in Tampa Bay kicks off at home against Carolina on September 7 at 4:25 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium. The Panthers, who are coached by Smith's former defensive coordinator in Chicago, Ron Rivera, swept the Bucs last season.

The Bucs' first away game will be the first of a three-week road trip. Tampa Bay plays at Atlanta on Thursday night in Week 3 on September 18 at 8:25 p.m. ET, followed by away games at Pittsburgh and New Orleans.

Tampa Bay's bye week will take place in Week 7, which is later than usual.

Smith, who coached the Bears for nine seasons from 2004-12, will return to Chicago to play his former team in Week 12 on November 23 at Soldier Field.

Two highly regarded newcomers to the Buccaneers this offseason, defensive end Michael Johnson and left tackle Anthony Collins, will play their former team, the Cincinnati Bengals, the following week on November 30 at Raymond James Stadium.

The Bucs conclude the 2014 campaign with two home games in Week 16 and Week 17 against Green Bay and New Orleans, respectively. The Saints swept the Bucs last season, including a season-ending loss for Tampa Bay at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in 2013 that led to head coach Greg Schiano's firing after a 4-12 season.

The bye is later than last year which helps. The road games look pretty tough. Like finishing season with two at home.

It'll be interesting to see if we can sell out the first two games, no matter, I'll be there!

Carolina is playing with practice squad material at wideout so this to me is a winnable game to start the season and i also think we start 2-0 just don't ask me how we finish, lol

I live in South carolina and my twin and I have never been to a game in TAMPA!! We are going to the game against minnesota and I cant wait to see the tampa area and a big Tampa win! Hope to see or meet some of the die hard fans on here. Excited to hear that things are progressing smoothly and in another couple of weeks the draft!!! Optimism is high and I'm really excited for this season! GO BUCS!!!

If we're for real this year, those last two games could be huge.

No outdoor cold weather games except possibly the Bears game in late November is a plus. I like the idea of beginning and ending the season (heading into the playoffs) with two home games. But then again, if my fellow season pass holders sell their tickets to Packer and Saint fans to get some money for Christmas it won't feel much like a home game. "Go Pack Go", "Who Dat"....................Bah Humbug!

Sure gave no love in wk 2 and 3. A 4 pm game in the same wk as a Thur night away game. No love for Lovie !

its huge that we play the packers at home in december. that could be a crucial game for us in december.

I like this schedule. Start with 2 at home and end with 2 at home. The bye could be a couple of weeks later, but not bad where it is. Really surprised that the Chicago game is not a night game, was expecting it to be.
