The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday announced the team’s 2014 training camp schedule, which features an expanded selection of open practice dates for fans, with 12 days that will be available to the general public. The first of these free, public practices will take place on Friday, July 25, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Remaining dates and times are detailed below.

In addition, a selection of practices will take place in the evening, allowing more opportunity for spectators to take advantage of the viewings.

“The excitement surrounding our upcoming season has been building for months around the Tampa Bay area and we are thrilled to announce an even greater number of opportunities for our fans to come out to One Buccaneer Place to see our team prepare for what promises to be a great season,” said Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford. “This year, more than half of the 12 open practices will be conducted in the late afternoon and early evening hours, allowing for cooler temperatures and a more convenient post-work viewing window for our fans.”

The popular Night Practice at Raymond James Stadium is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 1, and, like all open practices, will feature free parking and admission. Additional Night Practice details will be released at a later date.

I might do the same Pink. I actually used to take vacation to watch practice. My wife frowns on that nowadays. She says I have to do "fun stuff" with her. And not that kind much anymore.

That's a good point Scubog I hadn't thought of that. However, I still agree with Horse. I'm more concerned about the players being prepared for the season than more fans getting to see practice. The afternoon thunderstorms were the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this schedule and I forsee a third of these vital TC practices being shortened or cancelled. I plan to take that first Friday off from work so I can be there for the first weekend of camp, as I have every year since 2008. There has always been plenty of seating available. I'm not thrilled about having to fight a larger crowd for a seat on the 40 yard line.

Bucko40: That's Mike Glennon wearing number 8. Horse: The practice times you suggested work well for retired folks like yourself. But for those of us who work, the late afternoon times are much appreciated. Even if it rains at 4:00 PM once in a while.

How do you spell "afternoon thunder storms"? I hope they are prepared to practice 2-3 hours after the lightening alert horns give the all clear? I think 10 AM or 1 PM practices might be more logical.
