The Buccaneers added two more players to their roster last week following the team's final mini-camp of the offseason, signing defensive end Ronald Talley and receiver David Gettis.
The re-tooling of the Buccaneers roster continued with the signing of two additional players who were on a tryout last week as Tampa Bay wrapped up their offseason workouts with a three-day mandatory mini-camp.

Former Cardinals defensive end Ronald Talley and former Panthers wide receiver David Gettis both signed deals with the Buccaneers.

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht is familiar with Talley after working with him last year in Arizona where Licht spent one season as the Cardinals director of pro player personnel.

Talley was an undrafted free agent who signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2009. After spending time on the practice squad Talley was signed by the Cardinals and promoted to the active roster in 2011. In three seasons with Arizona Talley has notched 14 tackles and one interception.

Talley is listed at 6-3, 298-pounds and played his college football at Delaware.

Gettis (6-3, 220), caught 37 passes for 508 yards and three touchdowns during his first NFL season with the Panthers is 2010, but a torn ACL and other assorted injuries limited him to playing to just two games over the previous three seasons. In his rookie season with the Panthers Gettis also returned eight kickoffs for 145 yards.

The former sixth-round pick from Baylor faces an uphill challenge to make the roster as the receiver position is a crowded one in Tampa Bay. Gettis will be competing with Skye Dawson, Eric Page, Robert Herron, Lavelle Hawkins, Chris Owusu and a number of other receivers for the right to earn a roster spot.

To make room on the roster the Buccaneers announced on Tuesday the waiving of T Emmett Cleary and LB Steven Jenkins.

Im guessing this is to just bulk up our 90 man roster, in time for preseason lol.

    Gettis sucks, plain and simple.

I follow the Cards since I live in AZ and I vaguely remember Talley should tell you something
