Griese Poised To Start Against Falcons
Brian Griese took starting reps for the Bucs as they returned to practice while Jeff Garcia did not address the media, which he typically does on Wednesdays. Instead, he was rehabbing his ankle, which is a strong indication that Griese will start against Atlanta on Sunday in the team's home opener.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a new starting quarterback when they take the field for their home opener vs. the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Bucs head coach Jon Gruden said the team will start Brian Griese until Jeff Garcia gets right both emotionally and physically.
