Petitgout Faces Four-Game Suspension
The NFL has notified former Bucs LT Luke Petitgout, who was released from the PUP list on Aug. 16, that he will be suspended for the first four games of the 2008 season, according to Sportsline.com. Petitgout is attempting to recover from a knee injury he suffered in Week 4 of the 2007 season.
Joseph Sidelined With Broken Foot
Tampa Bay starting right guard Davin Joseph missed practice Tuesday with a broken foot that could keep him out of action for several weeks. The former first-round draft pick could be replaced in the starting lineup by rookie G Jeremy Zuttah or veteran G Dan Buenning.

With Davin Joseph sidelined for several weeks with a broken foot, Bucs rookie offensive lineman Jeremy Zuttah could start vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night. Zuttah is battling Dan Buenning for that opportunity and possibly a 53-man roster spot.
Askew Recovering From Ankle Surgery
PewterReport.com is reporting that fullback B.J. Askew had surgery on his left ankle on Aug. 15. Askew, who had his injured ankle scoped, is not expected to miss any regular season action. The Pro Bowl alternate was signed to a contract extension during the offseason.

Bucs Work Out OT Miller
Tampa Bay worked out former Chicago Bears offensive tackle Fred Miller at One Buccaneer Place on Tuesday. Miller, 35, started 164 of the 186 games he's played in since 1996. The Bucs have yet to announce their roster cuts, and Miller flew home Tuesday to make a family decision on whether to sign with Chicago or Tampa Bay.
Bucs Trade Douglas To Ravens
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded defensive end Marques Douglas to the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday night. According NFL Network, the Bucs receive a 2009 late-round draft pick and a conditional pick in 2010 that is contingent upon Douglas passing his physical with the Ravens on Wednesday morning.
