Bucs Hire Bates As Defensive Coordinator
Tampa Bay has hired Jim Bates as its new defensive coordinator. Bates, 62, has 14 years of coaching experience in the NFL. He has served as the defensive coordinator for Atlanta, Miami, Green Bay and Denver during his NFL coaching career.
Bucs To Interview Zampese For OC Job
Tampa Bay is interviewing several candidates for its offensive coordinator position, including Ken Zampese, who has spent the past six seasons as the Cincinnati Bengals' quarterbacks coach. Zampese, who is the son of longtime NFL offensive coordinator Ernie Zampese, is scheduled to interview with the Bucs next week.
Bucs Will Not Increase Season Ticket Prices
The Bucs announced Thursday that season ticket prices for the 2009 season will not be increased. Ticket prices will remain the same, according to the Bucs.

Mangurian Expected To Coach Tampa Bay's Offensive Line
New England tight ends coach Pete Mangurian has been hired by the Buccaneers and is expected to coach the offensive line. Mangurian has previous NFL experience coaching the offensive line in Denver, New York and Atlanta. Mangurian was the head coach at Cornell in 1999 when Raheem Morris was an assistant there.
Baker To Coach Bucs' Defensive Backs
Tampa Bay is expected to fill its vacant defensive backs coaching job by hiring former Denver linebackers coach Joe Baker. Baker spent two seasons with Denver, one of which was with new Bucs defensive coordinator Jim Bates.
Bucs To Interview Titans QBs Coach Johnson

Bucs Sign WR Mix
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed another wide receiver, but no, it's not Antonio Bryant or Michael Clayton, who are scheduled to become free agents on February 27. PewterReport.com is reporting the Bucs signed former Auburn WR/TE Anthony Mix, who played with RB Cadillac Williams in college, to a two-year contract.

Ex-Bucs O-line coach Bill Muir had a revealing interview with WFAN's Mike Francesa on Monday and discussed Jon Gruden's firing. Former Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden spoke out publicly for the first time since being fired on Jan. 17. In a conversation with ESPN, Gruden said he was proud of what the Bucs accomplished during his seven-year tenure in Tampa Bay and responded to recent criticism from some of his former players.
Bucs Hire Jagodzinski As Offensive Coordinator
The Bucs have hired former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski as the team's offensive coordinator. The 45-year old Jagodzinski has 14 years of college coaching experience and eight years of NFL experience. He served as an offensive line coach in Atlanta from 2003-05 and as Green Bay's offensive coordinator in 2006.

Demoff Leaves Bucs For Rams
Bucs senior assistant Kevin Demoff has left the Tampa Bay organization to become the St. Louis Rams executive vice president of football operations and chief operating officer. Tampa Bay has hired former Green Bay DTs coach Robert Nunn. Nunn and Todd Wash will serve as Tampa Bay's D-line coaches. The Bucs also officially named Joe Baker the new DBs coach and Kurt Shultz the strength and conditioning coach. Doug Williams has been retained and promoted.

Bucs Re-Sign QB McCown
The Bucs have re-signed QB Luke McCown. The 27-year-old signal caller was scheduled to become a free agent on Feb. 27 before he signed a two-year contract worth $7.5 million. McCown, who could earn as much as $14 million with incentives, will have the opportunity to compete for the starting job.
