Bucs Announce 2009 Regular Season Schedule
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their 2009 regular season schedule on Tuesday evening. The Bucs will open the regular season at home vs. Dallas on Sept. 13. Tampa Bay has the fifth-hardest schedule of any team in the NFL. The Bucs are not scheduled to play any prime time contests during the 2009 regular season.

Team Physician Dr. Diaco To Retire After 33 Seasons
Tampa Bay team physician Dr. Joe Diaco will retire after 33 seasons with the Buccaneers. Dr. John Zvijac will continue to serve as Tampa Bay’s orthopedic surgeon while Dr. Chat Janecki and Dr. Dan Lamar serve as team associate orthopedic surgeons.

Bucs Select QB Freeman In First Round
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded up and selected Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman with their first pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. Freeman played for head coach Raheem Morris in 2006, and becomes the first quarterback the Bucs have taken in the first round since Trent Dilfer. The Bucs gave up a sixth-round pick.
Freeman Believes He Was Best QB In Draft
He was the third quarterback taken in the 2009 NFL Draft, but Kansas State QB Josh Freeman believes he is better than Matt Stafford and Mark Sanchez, and he plans on proving it with the Bucs, who traded up with the Browns to select him with the 17th overall pick in the draft on Saturday.
Morris Might Have Drafted Freeman No. 1 Overall
Raheem Morris said he got "his guy" when the Bucs traded up with the Browns to select Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman. Morris said Freeman, whom he would have considered taking with the first pick in the draft, is Tampa Bay's franchise QB, and the first QB taken by the Bucs in the first round since 1994.

Tampa Bay Drafts DT Miller In Third Round
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers used their third-round pick to draft Texas defensive tackle Roy Miller on Sunday. The 6-foot-1, 310-pound Miller adds a big body and exceptional run-stuffing ability to Tampa Bay’s defensive line. He recorded 138 tackles and 10 sacks in 19 starts at Texas.
Bucs Draft DE Moore In Fourth Round
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded up three spots in the fourth round with the Dallas Cowboys to select USC defensive end Kyle Moore. He notched 30 tackles and five sacks in 2008. Tampa Bay traded one of its seventh-round picks to Dallas to move up and select Moore.
Tampa Bay Drafts OT Fulton In Fifth Round
The Bucs invested their fifth-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft in Illinois offensive tackle Xavier Fulton. The 6-foot-4, 302-pound Fulton began his collegiate career as a defensive lineman before moving to the offensive side as a sophomore. He started 25 games at left tackle for Illinois, but could serve as a swing tackle for the Bucs.
Bucs Draft CB Biggers In Seventh Round
The Buccaneers used their first of two seventh-round draft picks on Western Michigan cornerback E.J. Biggers on Sunday. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Biggers, who visited the Bucs in April, logged seven interceptions during his collegiate career.
