Bucs Sign K Barth, Release K Andrus
Tampa Bay made another change at kicker. The Bucs signed free agent K Connor Barth and released K Shane Andrus. Barth was with the Miami Dolphins in the offseason, and kicked with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008. Andrus kicked in three games for the Buccaneers after replacing Mike Nugent.
Bye Week Came At Right Time For Winless Bucs
Tampa Bay's bye week is officially over. The Bucs went back to work Tuesday in preparation for the Green Bay Packers. Although the 0-7 Bucs didn't lose during their bye week, the team did come out of the break as the only winless team in the NFL.
Morris Downplays Talib Incident
Bucs head coach Raheem Morris attempted to downplay a few incidents involving CB Aqib Talib Tuesday. Morris acknowledged that Talib broke the after-game curfew in London, a matter that was handled internally. Morris went on to say that Talib has never disrespected him despite a report that suggested otherwise.

Williams Discusses Selmon, 2009 Bucs
Doug Williams sounded off on a number of topics including Lee Roy Selmon, other 1979 players feeling slighted, and the Bucs 0-7 start. Williams said some of the '79 players won't come to Sunday's game because of the focus on Selmon, and not the entire team. Williams said the 2009 Bucs get a reprieve for their performance.
Smith Believes Not Playing In London Was The Right Call
Clifton Smith wanted to play in London, but in hindsight, the Pro Bowl return specialist believes Tampa Bay's decision to sit him vs. New England was a smart one. Smith said he is completely recovered from his concussion and ready to play. In other news, Bucs CB Aqib Talib was limited today with an ankle injury.
Barth Plans To Provide Bucs With Insurance At Kicker Position
Kicker Connor Barth impressed the Bucs with his workout Tuesday, which prompted the team to sign him and release Shane Andrus. Now Barth, who previously played with Miami and Kansas City, is focused on capitalizing on the opportunity.
Rookie DE Moore Frustrated With Inactive Status
DE Kyle Moore, the Bucs' fourth-round pick, is anxious to see his first action in the NFL regular season. Moore is frustrated over the fact that he lost his spot in the D-line rotation, saying, "They didn’t earn my position. They got it by default." Moore was also involved in a shoving match with center Jeff Faine last Thursday.
Freeman Eager For First Start
Rookie quarterback Josh Freeman feels he is ready for his first professional start. Head coach Raheem Morris said Freeman would stay in Tampa during the bye week, but the Bucs quarterback went back to Kansas during the Bucs bye week to visit family. Doug Williams and Raheem Morris think Freeman is a gunslinger.

Selmon Inducted Into Ring Of Honor
