Pewter Report Welcomes Back Wolf Heard
Pewter Report is proud to announce that Wolf Heard will be re-joining the Pewter Report staff. Heard will be serving as a beat writer and producing some regular videos for the new PewterReport.com that will debut in 2010. Heard previously worked with Pewter Report for the 2008 season and into the 2009 offseason.
Bucs Send Warning Letter to Penn
The Tampa Bay Buccanneers have sent left tackle Donald Penn a letter instructing him of the consequences of not signing his tender contract. The Bucs exercise an option to reduce Penn's salary by $100,000 if he does not sign his tender contract by the June 15.
McCoy & Benn Sustain Minor Injuries
Bucs head coach Raheem Morris said the practice injuries to DT Gerald McCoy, WR Arrelious Benn, and CB E.J. Biggers were all minor in nature. Morris discussed the practice fight between LT Demar Dotson and DE James Ruffin. He also hit on LT Donald Penn, TE Kellen Winslow, and WR Mike Williams in this notebook.

Bucs To Hold Chalk Talk Events At Local Chambers Of Commerce
A day before the team's annual FanFest at Raymond James Stadium, the Bucs will host two community events on Friday, June 18. The Bucs will meet with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce for a Chalk Talk breakfast, followed by a luncheon with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Click here for more details.
Winslow, Price Back With Team
Bucs TE Kellen Winslow observed practice at One Buc Place on Monday. Winslow is rehabbing his knee and said he'd be ready for training camp. Rookie DT Brian Price (hamstring) was also back working with the trainers. The Bucs canceled Tuesday's practice and veteran CB Ronde Barber said not to worry about one less OTA.
Bucs Sign CB Lewis
The Buccaneers continued to sign their rookie class on Monday afternoon when the team came to terms with cornerback Myron Lewis. The third-round pick out of Vanderbilt signed a four-year contract. Lewis was the 67th overall selection in last April's draft. To make room for Lewis the team released DE Maurice Evans.

Olson Says Buccaneers Offense Ahead Of Schedule
Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Greg Olson deemed the installation of his new offense to be “ahead of schedule.” Olson also said that the development of second-year Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman, who started nine games in 2009, is right on schedule.
Penn Loses $100k - Won't Sign Tender, Will Attend FanFest
Bucs LT Donald Penn refused to sign his one-year tender offer and as a result Tampa Bay will reduce the offer. The reduction drops the deal $100,000. If Penn, who will attend FanFest on Saturday, holds out of mandatory mini-camp the team can fine him $10,000 per day and $16,000 per missed day in training camp.
McKay To Be Inducted Into Ring Of Honor
The Buccaneers have announced that the team's first head coach in franchise history, John McKay, will be the next addition to the team's Ring of Honor. McKay led the Bucs to three playoff appearances including the 1979 NFC Championship Game. Rich McKay was back at One Buc Place to talk about his father's induction.
Morris Hopes To See Penn At Mandatory Mini-Camp
Bucs head coach Raheem Morris said he hopes that disgruntled left tackle Donald Penn will show up next week for mandatory mini-camp. Don't expect it to happen, although Penn will be at FanFest on Saturday. Morris explains how mini-camp will differ from OTAs and gives injury updates in the OTA notebook.

Bucs Sign Lorig & Watson, Release Crowell
The Buccaneers have signed seventh-round picks defensive end Erik Lorig and LB Dekoda Watson to four-year contracts. Tampa Bay released linebacker Angelo Crowell, safety Emanuel Cook, and long-snapper Chris Mauriello. Crowell was paid $2 million in 2009 and was on the Bucs injured reserve last season.
Glazer Discusses Rebuilding, Blackouts, 18-Game Schedule At Chamber Event

Penn Attends FanFest, Discusses Contract Situation
Restricted free agent LT Donald Penn, who has stayed away from the OTAs due to his desire for a long-term contract extension, showed up at FanFest and said he will skip mini-camp. He has not decided if he will hold out of training camp. Bucs G.M. Mark Dominik apologized to Penn for his comments earlier in the week.
