Allen: Bucs Didn't Negotiate With Packers
The Brett Favre saga did not end in Tampa Bay without taking an interesting turn first. Bucs G.M. Bruce Allen fielded questions from the media on Thursday and said the Bucs were never involved in negotiations with the Packers and that Tampa Bay never made an offer to Green Bay for Favre, who is now a New York Jet.

Bucs Beat Dolphins, 17-6
UPDATED: The Bucs defeated the Dolphins in their preseason opener on Saturday night, 17-6. Bucs RB Michael Bennett rushed for 74 yards and scored one TD. Tampa Bay QB Brian Griese tossed a 2-yard TD pass to WR Brian Clark in the win. The Bucs defense notched four sacks while holding the Dolphins out of the end zone.
