Mahan Likely To Start In Place Of Faine
With Jeff Faine sidelined due to a triceps injury, Bucs offensive lineman Sean Mahan, who re-signed with the team Monday, likely will start vs. the Buffalo Bills Sunday, although rookie C Jonathan Compas is also in the mix. Mahan has started 52 career games since entering the league with Tampa Bay in 2003.
   
Nugent Confident Mistakes Will Be Corrected
Despite struggling vs. Dallas in Week 1, Tampa Bay kicker Mike Nugent still is confident in his ability to make field goals for the Buccaneers. Nugent discussed his performance from One Buc Place Wednesday.
   
Defense Seeks Redemption

Bryant Doubtful For Sunday's Game
Bucs WR Antonio Bryant was held out of practice for the second straight day Friday with pain in his surgically repaired knee. Bryant is listed as doubtful on Tampa Bay's injury report. If he can't play, Bryant will be replaced by Sammie Stroughter, Brian Clark and Maurice Stovall in a committee approach.
   
Tampa Bay Stampeded By Buffalo, Lose 33-20
UPDATED: The Bucs fell behind the Bills 17-0 in the first quarter and went on to lose to Buffalo on Sunday, 33-20. The Bucs defense, which has given up 900 yards of offense over the past two weeks, allowed the Bills to rush for 218 yards. The Bills defense picked off Byron Leftwich twice and shut down the Bucs' running game.
