Bennett Could Be Active This Week
After spending the first three games of the season on the sideline, Buccaneers running back Michael Bennett could be called on to help Tampa Bay defeat Green Bay on Sunday. The Bucs are thinking about using Bennett on special teams and offense.
Tragedy Strikes Bryant Family
Bucs kicker Matt Bryant's youngest son, Tryson, shockingly passed away on Wednesday morning. Head coach Jon Gruden did not have many details of the tragedy, but said Tryson did not wake up this morning. Gruden asked fans to offer their thoughts and prayers to the Bryant family.
Joseph Returns To Practice
Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Davin Joseph returned to practice on Wednesday. Joseph broke his foot in the second preseason game, and could play this Sunday. The status of other injured Buccaneers players was updated as well, including WR Joey Galloway, FB B.J. Askew, LB Derrick Brooks, DT Ryan Sims, and CB Aqib Talib.
Bucs Offensive Line Defends Its Play
Since Sunday's physical battle with the Chicago Bears, there has been a lot of talk and allegations of dirty play towards the Buccaneers offensive line. The talk has not fazed the Bucs, and quite the opposite; they do not mind the reputation as being a physical challenge to the opposition.
Bryant Family Issues Statement
Bucs kicker Matt Bryant and his wife Melissa issued a statement late Wednesday night regarding the passing of their youngest son, Tryson, who died on Wednesday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tryson's name to the March of Dimes.
Galloway Frustrated By Injuries
