Campbell Trying To Make Most Of His "Last Chance"
Bucs wide receiver Kelly Campbell is trying to put his drug-arrest past behind him and parlay his success in the Canadian Football League to a last chance at living his NFL dreams in Tampa Bay. Sears Not Medically Cleared To Practice, Bucs Concerned
Buccaneers guard Arron Sears has not been medically cleared to practice and may not be ready for training camp due to a neurological issue from a concussion, a source tells Pewter Report. Jeremy Zuttah has taken Sears' place at left guard and is a candidate to keep the spot.
Zuttah Takes Over Left Guard
Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Jeremy Zuttah talked about taking over the starting left guard spot on Tuesday. Guard Arron Sears is out indefinitely, and offensive line coach Pete Mangurian said he hopes he will be back for training camp. After playing multiple positions as a rookie Zuttah is now exclusively at left guard.
Lynch To Serve As Color Analyst For Bucs Preseason TV Games
The Buccaneers have announced that former strong safety John Lynch will serve as the team's color analyst for three preseason games on News Channel 8 WFLA-TV in Tampa along with Fox's Chris Myers, who will serve as the play-by-play man. Lynch played 11 seasons for Tampa Bay.
More Questions Than Answers Regarding Sears' Absence
A second source has confirmed to Pewter Report that starting left guard Arron Sears had more than one concussion in Tampa Bay last year, but according to injury reports, the team only reported one. PR has learned that Sears has been away from the team for weeks, which has only led to more questions than answers.
Training Camp Practices Open to Public
On Thursday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers received approval from the City of Tampa to open training camp up to Buccaneers fans at the team's practice facility, One Buccaneer Place. Bucs head coach Raheem Morris was pleased to hear the news.

After Thursday's OTA practice, Bucs head coach Raheem Morris addresses LG Arron Sears' situation, calling it a "personal" and "private" matter. Sears' Situation May Be Similar To Howell's
Based on new information, Pewter Report now believes that LG Arron Sears, who has been missing from the OTAs, is dealing with a pyschological issue similar to what ex-Bucs FS John Howell dealt with in 2003, rather than a neurological issue stemming from concussions as first reported.

Bucs Sign DT Miller
Bucs rookie defensive tackle Roy Miller signed his rookie contract Monday. The deal is for four years. Miller, who was Tampa Bay's 2009 third-round draft pick, played collegiately at Texas and will compete for playing time at defensive tackle in training camp. The Bucs released QB Brian Griese to make room for Miller.
Freeman Inks Rookie Deal
Tampa Bay signed first-round pick Josh Freeman to his rookie contract Friday. Freeman signed a five-year deal with the Bucs. Freeman, who was the 17th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, will report to training camp with his teammates today.
Tampa Bay Inks WR Stroughter To 4-Year Deal
The Bucs signed another draft pick Friday, inking wide receiver Sammie Stroughter to a four-year contract. Stroughter missed Tampa Bay's mandatory mini-camp practices with a hamstring injury. To make room for Stroughter, the Bucs released WR Amari Jackson, as well as LB Jamall Johnson and CB Evan McCollough.
Bucs Sign Moore, Biggers To 4-Year Contracts
The Buccaneers signed two more draft picks Tuesday, inking fourth-round pick Kyle Moore and seventh-round selection E.J. Biggers to their rookie deals. Both players signed four-year contracts. The Bucs have just two picks -- DT Roy Miller and QB Josh Freeman -- unsigned.
