Bucs Glad To Grab Bruggeman
Former Iowa center Rob Bruggeman was targeted by the Bucs in the seventh round. But when the team traded away one of its three seventh-round picks to move up in the fourth round to get Kyle Moore, Tampa Bay had to resort to signing Bruggeman as an undrafted free agent and the team thinks it has a steal.
   
Bucs Wrap Up Rookie Mini-Camp
The Bucs’ three-day rookie mini-camp is officially over. Pewter Report has news and notes from the last practice, as well as the draft pick the team received from the Patriots in exchange for tight end Alex Smith.
   
Bucs Sign 7 Try-Out Players To Roster
The Bucs signed seven try-out players to contracts Monday. The Bucs signed USF DE Jarriett Buie, OL Marc Dile, WR Amari Jackson, Louisville WR Pat Carter, Hofstra RB Kareem Huggins, James Madison CB Evan McCollough and Southern Miss T Demar Dotson. The team also released three players.

Bucs Release WR Mix
The Bucs released WR Anthony Mix Wednesday just hours after a Fox television station in Mobile, Alabama reported Mix had been indicted for having sex with an underage minor by a grand jury. If convicted Mix could have a jail sentence of a year with a $500 fine. Mix signed with Tampa Bay in January of this year.

Bucs Hire Director of Football Administration
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired a Douglas Daley to be their new director of football administration, and to assist general manager Mark Dominik. Former Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden will replace Tony Kornheiser in the Monday Night Football booth in 2009. Gruden, who coached the Bucs from 2002-08, will call Monday Night Football games with play-by-play man Mike Tirico and analyst Ron Jaworski.
   
Bucs Place FB Storer On IR
The Buccaneers have placed reserve fullback Byron Storer on injured reserve. Storer was recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in 2008, but suffered "a major setback" in his rehabilitation, according to Tampa Bay head coach Raheem Morris.

Talib and Penn's Fight Injures Cox
Bucs CB Aqib Talib and LT Donald Penn got into a fight during practice on Wednesday. CB Torrie Cox was inadvertently hit in the face with Talib's helmet, causing Cox to have some lacerations that were attended to by medical staff. UPDATE: GM Mark Dominik and Penn have issued statements on the incident.
   
Bucs Practice "We-fense" After Skirmish
Bucs head coach Raheem Morris commented on the fight that took place between CB Aqib Talib and T Donald Penn. Morris said the team would handle the incident internally, but put his players through a "we-fense" practice that came as a direct result of the fight, which Talib regrets. UPDATE: Bucs call about Plaxico Burress.
