Bucs Seek Improvement Vs. Dolphins Defense
The Buccaneers offense is preparing to face the Dolphins 3-4 defense. Bucs C Jeff Faine expects rookie QB Josh Freeman to face more pressure this week from Miami's veteran pass rushers. Correction: Scout Dom Green Chose KC over TB
Pewter Report has learned that former Buccaneers college scout Dom Green turned down an offer to stay with Tampa Bay, and instead chose to take a position with the Kansas City Chiefs. Pewter Report had previously written that the Bucs had "dropped Green." Pewter Report regrets the error.
   
Brown, Williams Place Friendly Wager On Game
Bucs RB Cadillac Williams and Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown have more riding on Sunday's game in Miami than their teammates. The two close friends and college teammates have a friendly wager on the upcoming game. Plus, the Bucs toyed with running the Wildcat formation earlier in the year before putting it on hold.

Bucs running back Clifton Smith was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week Wednesday after his impressive performance in Tampa Bay's 38-28 win over Green Bay. Smith's 83-yard kickoff return sparked the Bucs' come-from-behind victory on Sunday.

The Buccaneers got a little bit healthier on Thursday as they prepare for the Miami Dolphins. WR Michael Clayton (knee) returned to practice, while G Davin Joseph (ankle) was able to have a greater level of participation. WR Antonio Bryant, DE Stylez G. White, and QB Byron Leftwich did not practice for the second straight day.
