Jones Comfortable With Tampa Bay's Defense
New Bucs safety Sean Jones talked about leaving Philadelphia for Tampa Bay in a video on the team's official website. Jones, 28, originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick with Cleveland. He is expected to compete with Sabby Piscitelli for a starting job in 2010.
   
Wilkerson To Visit With Rams On Friday
Tampa Bay Buccaneers free agent defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson is scheduled to visit with the St. Louis Rams on Friday morning. Wilkerson, 29, notched 11 sacks in his two seasons with the Buccaneers. He's currently recovering from ACL surgery.

Bucs Receive 7th Round Compensatory Pick
The Buccaneers received a bit of good news at the 2010 NFL Owners Meeting in Orlando, Fla. when the league awarded a seventh-round compensatory draft pick to Tampa Bay for a net loss in free agency in 2009. The Bucs now have 11 total picks in the April draft, including four seventh-round selections.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers punter Josh Bidwell signed with the Washington Redskins on Tuesday. Bidwell, 34, spent six seasons (2004-09) with the Bucs. Last year, Bidwell was placed on injured reserve in training camp due to a hip injury that required surgery.

Bucs Begin Revamped Offseason Training Program
Tampa Bay will start its 14 week voluntary offseason training program on Monday. The team has implemented several new changes to the program this year, including moving all OTAs back until after the draft. Head strength and conditioning coach Kurtis Shultz has also added new workouts to the program.
   
Bucs Re-Sign LB Crowell, WR Bradley Signs Tender
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed two of their own free agents Monday, inking linebacker Angelo Crowell and wide receiver Mark Bradley to contracts. Crowell was an unrestricted free agent while Bradley was tendered an offer as a restricted free agent.

Tampa Bay's Preseason Schedule Announced
The Bucs had the time and dates of their preseason games announced on Thursday. Tampa Bay will open the preseason in Miami and conclude it in Houston. The Bucs will host Kansas City and Jacksonville in Week 2 and 3 of the preseason. The NFL is expected to release the entire regular season schedule soon.
